wish I'd read reviews first. Agree 100% with poster who called Dr. Sanford Buch , DDS in Kingston a Frankenstein Monster. I needed a top wisdom tooth extracted. Dr. Buchs proceeded to inject me with Novocaine. My nose, side of my right eye, tongue, and lower jaw felt numb, but I could still feel the area around my wisdom teeth. I told him this – and he yelled at me saying that if I wasn’t numb after more novocaine he couldn’t operate. Like it was my fault it wasn’t working! When I had a tooth extraction, Dr. Buch left a small piece of tooth in my gum. When I went back to have it removed, there was another person with the same problem. I will never go to Dr. Buch again.
I dealt with Dr. Buch at the Institute of Family Health in Harlem. I had to tell him to wear his surgical mask when he was extracting my tooth, and clearly he was annoyed that I asked him to do so. He took the tooth out without making sure to file down the protruding shards of bone just under my gumline, so I was in pain for a good 2 weeks after. He said nothing to me after putting in two cursory stitches. He simply walked away. He is a terrible dentist who ignores basic safety measures.
This Dr Sanford Buch is a FRANKENSTEIN MONSTER!!!! He gave me an Alveoloplasty of the Mandibular Torus and did half a job! He FAILED to properly shave down the bone, then left a roller coaster HUMP on the top of my gum, which should have been shaved down and leveled. He also cut small slits, one of the left and the other on the right of the Lingual Frenulum; There was no need for this! He also did a HORRIBLE JOB STITCHING ME BACK UP, LOOKS LIKE HE LEFT BONE EXPOSED! HE NEEDS TO RETIRE!!!
He is incompetent, uncaring, and cruel. Avoid him at all costs.
Dr Buch is calm, gentle and efficient. He explains things before he does them with an accurate assessment of pain. I have seen him twice for extractions and would use him again.
He caused nerve damage to my face during a wisdom tooth extraction and showed total disregard. Stay away, you will get hurt.
