Breakfast at 8:30 in the morning - horrible experience. The bathroom was pure filth - the waitstaff looked dirty and disheveled - the coffee tasted at least 5 hours old - and after two bites of the omelette, I asked for my check so I could leave. My waiter offered to get the manager so I could complain, but I begged for the check so I could simply pay and leave before I vomited. I will never return there.
My family and I ate at this Denny's tonight. We had a wonderful server who went out of our way for his. She nor the service was bad. It was at the end of our meal when we were paying that was awful. My husband paid with a $100 bill after he received the money I took $10 to pay our waitress the tip from our $34.00 plus change meal. It wasn't until we got to the car that we realized we had been shorted $10. My husband went back in and told the manager who immediately denied it. Is there anyone actually running this place? I seriously never write reviews.. but come on. The cook took our order, because our server left. Cook went outside for a smoke, Manager left. While we were in the restaurant completely alone, our server came back, lit his cigarette off the grill and ran outside.. I wish I was making this shit up. But I'm not that creative. What the absolute hell just happened?
My husband and I ate breakfast there this morning and had a wonderful server, Chris. The hostess whom sat us, sat us in a section that was closed due to a large party. Chris was outstanding in making sure we were taken care of on top of having said large party. Hats off to him! He had a rude female customer that seemed to think she was his only table, telling him she needed this or that and poking her head in the kitchen to tell him things if she didn't think he was fast enough. My husband and I have been coming to Denny's for many years and we always get great food and service!
Two hours from the time we sat until the check came. Very poor service. Server couldn't get the order right and Manager had to serve us. Ordered the chicken cheese steak with extra cheese and was given the prime rib cheese steak with no extra cheese. You can't pay enough to eat there. Would have had a better meal at the waffle house.
Poor service, poor food, poor everything, the waffle house down the road is way much better.
I come here a lot through the years and the staff has always been great the food has always been plentiful - so if you looking for a family orientated place to eat Fort Walton Beach Denny's is the place to go...
