Arrived in ambulance with severe pain after cutting top of big toe with glass. After almost 6 hours of waiting with 7 yr old child, the blow in Dr brushed my injury off as only ‘superficial’ despite no movement and huge distress and ‘highly unlikely tendon damage’. I was discharged with no pain relief or referral for ultrasound. 6 days later needing a huge operation and surgery in Albany to reattached retracted tendons so I can save my toe and walk again.
