Dr Turunen had been my periodontist for about 20 years. In that time I found her to be caring, professional and meticulous with my perio care. She explained procedures and possible consequences if they were not taken. "Stable" was a term she used to describe the condition of my teeth. I understand she retired or she would still be treating me. I want to acknowledge her assistant Sheila. She was great too.
I had a visit with her about a month ago and she came up with a very expensive plan to work on my gums. I am a person that goes to the dentist regularly. I have all my teeth except one. And only my gums are suffering. I don't have any cavities or teeth issues. She barely talked about a plan b that would work and be less expensive. I think she's interested in getting the money instead of helping a patient
I went to visit Dr. Turunen for a periodontal exam a couple of weeks ago. The bedside manner was fine, but the treatment plan was, in my opinion, extremely invasive. Multiple surgeries, gum and bone grafts, all without regard to lifestyle changes/and or long term consequences or a therapy plan. The approach was only considered from the financial perspective of the business, not the consideration for the patient's well being. I'd never recommend this periodontist. There are better options.
I have complete faith in Dr. Turunen and her office manager, Sheila. I've never had this wonderful type of care from a dentist. She's a very kind, wonderful person who cares very much for all of her patients. No doubts or hesitations about Dr. Turunen.
She's the BEST Periodentist ever! She's an outstanding professional, very thorough, office is meticulous and easy to get to...overall an excellent experience and I HIGHLY recommend her!!
Amazing treatment. Painless and quick recovery. She truly has an amazing talent. Very skilled at what she does. Graduated from the #1 Dental School in the nation! I recommend to all of my friends. Will definitely go back in the future.
Absolute worst case of bed side manners I have ever experienced. Imagine a grumpy old lady ranting all the time (serious case of self-righteousness)
Dr Turunen saved me from a very bad dental situation.Failed implants from another doctors mistake, receding gums, bone loss etc. Her approach to dentistry is very pragmatic and caring This is a very professional Dr. I owe her and her practices so much gratitude for taking on my case
Dr. Turunen did my bone grafting and implants 8 years ago. I go every 3 months for cleanings.
