I was still new to therapy when starting with Denise, so it took some time for me to see this for what it was, but my time here was disappointing in ways that bordered unprofessional. It started off great, but when it came to any topics touching on any intersections of systemic issues, lgbtq culture, or partner intimacy, there was often just a change in conversation and the sense that she didn’t know what to say. Beware. She made constantly question whether I actually had dysmorphia and OCD. She made me feel invalid and question whether my experiences were actually “bad enough.” In addition, she charged me a co-pay for months even though Kaiser told me after that I shouldn’t have been getting charged. Refused to get back to me after trying to contact her numerous times.
