brought my car in because I needed the turbo welding replaced and thought it would be covered by the lifetime powertrain warranty I purchased - turns out it was not covered, which is frustrating but not the main issue I experienced. The issue was that they had my car for 7 days before I could get any answers from the service department. 7 days without my car. 7 days of uber charges to and from work. 7 days without answers. We waited 2 hours to have the coverings on the seat latches in the basic replaced. We ordered the part in November of last year and it did not come until January. After waiting for almost 2 hours, with an appointment, we were never called to say the truck was ready. I only found out it was ready because I walked outside the check the progress and saw my truck sitting. Call in advance to let know the Service advisor we were on our way to pickup the vehicle from service, vehicle was not pulled up. Been waiting for it and still they haven’t pulled it up. Guess what, the vehicle was still not ready and they are still working on it making tests.

After only 3-1/2 years, I needed a new battery. The service rep told me that VW HAS to replace the battery themselves because it requires re-programming of the system components. I thought that was pretty petty of VW to require that as it means money for them. Also I was charged $460 to replace the battery. That is outright theft. I could have done it myself for half that cost.
