Thank you with all my heart. I have reached the 10yr mark since he saved my leg. He was the only surgeon that would take my case-after going through 4 others that declined my job. He commanded my 22hrs of surgery non-stop for the allographs and the nerve damage. Then a year later, my body rejected the 1st set of allographs, so he had to perform another 10hrs. Now 10yrs later I am able to walk without a full leg prosthetic...there was potential to bound to a wheelchair the rest of my life. His work changed my life forever.
Demetrios Douros (MD) is a fantastic orthopedic surgeon who not only answered all my questions and fully explained my MRI and X-RAY results in addition to the radiologist’s interpretation, but did so in the most informative, friendly, and efficient manner. He is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in all sports medicine and orthopedic procedures of the knee and his ability to communicate the most important details to the patient (me) was very helpful.
