We offer this opinion based upon our own personal experience and feel that our 4-year ongoing Deltec Nightmare has left us physically ill and emotionally drained. We believe that Deltec might talk a good game but our reality has been the polar opposite. We can’t say for sure but suspect that it would be difficult to find another Company in their Industry that could fall so short of living up to the expectations they set and fail so completely and spectacularly to deliver. Horrible customer experience a friend of mine had to endure from this company. Constant price increases after the contract was signed, poor workmanship and inexplicable delays. People entrust companies like Deltec with their hopes and dreams. Deltec needs to do a better job fulfilling them to the level of their promises.
They'll take your deposit, assure you that your plans are within budget and then when it comes time to start building, all of a sudden they can't meet the budget, you're told your expectations were too high, and you've now lost 8k for the deposit unless you're willing to cough up thousands of dollars for what you were told was within budget in the first place. DO NOT PLACE A DEPOSIT WITH DELTEC UNLESS YOU'VE GOT IT IN WRITING THAT YOUR BUDGET IS FEASIBLE.
0 stars We purchased a Deltec Homes Shell package in December of 2019 to construct in Western North Carolina. After being sold on promises of the “integrity” and “quality” we could expect from Deltec’s in-house General Contractor, Deltec Building Company, we entrusted them with a substantial portion of our life savings and hired them as General Contractor to complete what was supposed to be our dream home.
