Delta canceled our flight via a text message 12 hours before departure, saying they couldn’t rebook us. They admitted it was their fault because of staffing. We were on chat with them for 1.5 hours before they told us we needed to call their help line. We were on hold with their helpline for 2 hours and 43 minutes before they picked up. 6 hours of delay (8:05 PM to 1:06 AM (+1 day)) and all I got is a (very late) $12 meal voucher, right after I dine and wait for 2 hours lol, fanstatic customer service

I have been trying to recover my account with Delta for 8 months. Eventually gave up. Spent a cumulative 4 hours and counting on the phone with customer service because their system wouldn’t let me create another one. The customer service agent discovered the problem was because another account was using my phone number that I’ve had since 2003 (23 years) with no lapse is usage rights.
