I like my location very much because it's close to a lot. I like how the office treats the tenants and is timely with repairs/maintenance. The noise is managable. You can hear everything everyone is doing. I do not agree with the lack of upkeep to property outside. I have a pet and we like to go on walks. But it's so awful behind the building. DO NOT APPLY HERE! DON'T DO IT! I got two money orders. One for the credit application fee which was non refundable and another for $300 for the deposit. The manager Chris told me not to fill it out to the apartment complex in case I was not approved, so I left it blanked so that I could get it back if my application was not approved. He also told me to keep the receipt for the money order with the actual money order and I did. They told me today that I was not approved. WARNING!!! DO NOT RENT AT THIS PLACE!!!! Management sucks! Main entrance door to building is always broken and never fixed. Once fixed, it breaks again in a few days, stays broken more than it stays working correctly. Advertised with dishwasher, ceiling fans, and garbage disposal but my apartment didn't come with any. Apartment has ant and roach infestation and carpets in hallways are dirty. No parking by late evening and only 4 visitor parking space. Ashbury is a terrible place to rent from. They say they are the best in the region, well frankly they are about the worst I have seen. All work takes forever to be completed and they do not care if it is not done right. They also take for ever to get back to you when you have a question. In all honesy look somewhere else before looking through these guys.Â
The apartment buildings themselves are of okay construction, but the staff makes living in any apartment building managed by this company as unpleasant as brushing your teeth with nitric acid. You could say I did not enjoy renting from them, and you'd be correct. Westcourt apartments (along with many others) are noisy and the walls are thin. Fire alarms are a constant. There are many other better apartments around the same location for the same price. Danbury and Flickertail apartments are old and noisy. Had two false firealarms both around 11pm. Car got a dent. Check out process was painful and slow. Staff at Danbury and Goldmark are very unfriendly. Apartments being old there will be need for lot of maintenance. Request for maintenance was never addressed. I do NOT recommend these apartments.Â
The apts appear to be in good shape but after moving in you will find that many things do not work. (ex. lights, garbage disposal, toilet, burner) It is very difficult to contact management to discuss any issues as the office is rarely open at the times they provide (which is only 12-6 M-F and 11-2 Sat.) and despite multiple attempts, I have yet to be able to reach them by phone.
