They must never get orders for "traditional Indian salad" because neither the server nor the kitchen know what's supposed to go in it, or what a green chile is.

Samosas, bhartha, goat curry, malai kofta= all good. Everything is priced a bit high for the portions you get but its all really good.

Wonderful food, great atmosphere, and extremely friendly staff. The owner (or so I assume) sold me on trying the goat – which I have to say is probably the best goatmeat any Indian restaurant in the East Bay.

This place is a true gem. The food is delicious, which of course is the main thing, but I couldn't get over how beautiful the restaurant is. Everything from the cutlery to the water cups and jugs to the beautiful red and yellow linens and plates is imaginative and has been clearly given quite a bit of thought. The service is excellent, too. They make the best tikka masala I've ever had, and the mint naan is to die for. Delhi Diner is a jewel. I can't wait to go back.

However Delhi Diner is so good that not only do I pay for the food there, I usually deliberately over-order so that I can gloat over my leftovers the next day. I hav never had a bad dish here, and I love to bring my out-of-town friends here. They always remark afterward at how special this place is, and how it feels so warm and welcoming. everything about t... read more

This was my first time eating at Delhi and eating India food. After all these years of saying I don't like it, I found India cuisine to be absolutely delicious! Thanks to the owners and chefs for making my first taste a delicious one. I will be back soon!
