Mixed review.....still best pizza in Seattle! – Having just moved here from Chicago...I was pleasantly surprised to find this place. I have gotten take-out twice now; ordered the special both times. The first time was wonderful...great toppings and baked perfectly. The second time.....I went in and ordered my pizza. Went to wait the 1/2 hour at the bookstore next door, and when I went back to pick up my pizza they realized they had never even put it in the oven. It was just sitting there still. Good stuff – I was hosting a meeting and got a good variety of pies. Everyone seeme to really enjoy them as did I. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout.
Best Pizza! – This is the best pizza in the Udistrict! It tastes delicious! It is made fresh and served hot! The most healthy and tasty pizza I have ever had. It is nothing like 'take-out' pizza. The service can be slow at times, but the pizza is well worth the wait!
Stuffed Spinach Heaven – Their stuffed spinach pizza (known as a "Popeye") is truly heavenly. Once you try one, no other pizza will do. It takes 40 minutes to cook a large Popeye. To avoid the wait, we order by phone and pick it up just as it is coming out of the oven. We do this twice a month, even though we live on the Eastside. But if you want to eat in, this is a clean, friendly, family owned place that makes you feel at home. Just expect to wait, since miracles take time!
Mmm... stuffed spinach pizza – Seriously, it will add inches to your waistline... but so good! The spinach stuffed pizza was heavenly, and i am a real crust lover, their crust is some of the best that i have had. crispy and thick.
thivk, stuffed pizza suits me – I found the pizza very delicious. After my first visit here, I learned to call in an order in advance ( the stuffed pizza takes about 25 mintues). My favorite, spinach stuffed is fresh with excellent sauce and cheese. What the place lacks in "old world charm" it makes up for in a clean, neat shop with very pleasant young help and yummy Chcago style specialties.
Pizza to Die For – I've sampled the best pizza in every major US city and in more than 40 foreign countries. But I've never tasted anything that can even approach Delfino's stuffed spinach. We serve them often at home for casual lunches and dinners for friends and family. Every one of our guests leaves with Delfino's name and number. Their other pizzas are also great (particularly the "stuffed" or deep dish Chicago style pizzas), but the stuffed spinach is unbeatable.
Just plain good – Chicago Deep dishes have been cloned in Seattle. Just Plain Good.
Next best thing to Giordanos! – I'm from Chicago (1981-1995) and have lived in Seattle for 5 years. Delfino's is the first pizza I've found here that actually looks and tastes like true Chicago-style pizza. Their stuffed pizza is worth the price and the wait, and if you order delivery it won't feel like such a long wait. If you're homesick for authentic stuffed pizza, try Delfino's.
