Classic steakhouse. NOT for vegetarians/vegans...they have NO options for you. Great place for a business dinner. Good cocktails. 400 page wine list. Be prepared to leave feeling like you have eaten way too much (because you have).

The first time I went to Del Frisco's was for my anniversary with my husband. I seriously had the best fillet mignon ever had and it actually destroyed all fillet mignon's I've eaten since then. My wife and I came to Del Frisco's to celebrate finding out that we are going to be parents! WOOHOOOO! What better way to celebrate that kind of news than a night out at the best steak house in town! We didn't have reservations and were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. My wife obviously couldn't drink but I had a glass of their house wine. Went for a birthday celebration with 6 of my friends. We all ordered various steaks and fish off the Houston Restaurant week menu. Being what I thought as an upscale restaurant, the steak was below average and quite dissapointing. The dessert wasn't any better. I had the worst strawberry cheesecake I ever had in my life. The worst part of it all is that all of us got sick (diarrhea and vomiting) throughout the night. One of us had to go to the doctor's because he couldn't intake any food. After reading some of the reviews here for Del Frisco's I was a bit concerned when I booked a birthday dinner there for a friend. Well, I was more than put @ ease. From the moment we got there the pleasant & attractive waitstaff was more than accommodating. I gave 4 stars because the food and service was great, but we had a large group and had to split our own check. A nice restaurant like this doesn't have the technology to split a check? I mean come on Burger King can split a check! They brought us a calculator and we had to figure out tax and gratuity for each couple... If you want a nice meal and only gonna pay for one check, or don't mind working the calculator, then this place is great...
