I never knew about Del Fox meats until we moved to Stanwood. The first thing we had was tenderloin steaks which I cooked in a pan on top of our stove. I cooked them medium (115), and they were delicious. I special ordered two 1 pound Prime, new york steaks and cooked them on our new weber charcoal grill, which I bought for the occasion. They were also fantastic. Last night we cooked a bison pot roast in our slow cooker, and it was pretty good as well. We will be buying more things there.
I took an elk in for butchering that weighed 250 pounds on the hook. It was striped of all excess fat with no blood shot areas . I ended up with 104 pounds of meat . The math does not work. I feel I got ripped off. But I see they sell products made with elk meat and other wild game . Where do they get their wild meat? My guess is they take it from you . I will never use them again. I took a 150 deer to a different butcher and got back a 110 pounds of meat . Be cautious, they may cheat you too .
