This office could not be more screwed up. After my initial office visit I supposed to get a call from the office to schedule my procedure. I never got. I had to call twice and email them before could schedule the appointment. Then after the appointment I was told to call in to schedule the post op visit. When I did they told me that the soonest they had was a month from the date of my surgery. That’s ridiculous. Then I was in considerable pain so I had to call after hours to have the surgeon. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at DeKalb Surgical Associates. On November 15, 2024, I called to schedule an appointment for my husband with Dr. Kennedy due to severe abdominal pain. During the call, I specifically confirmed whether our insurance was accepted, and the staff assured me it was. The earliest available appointment was set for December 9, 2024, so my husband endured his pain for nearly a month, waiting to see this doctor based on a referral. Dr. Kennedy and all the staff including the anesthesiologist, the nurses and the aids, were exceptional. Explaining everything and making me feel very comfortable before and after surgery. I highly recommend them.
This is a really late review but completely due. In 2018, I contacted Dr. John Kennedy’s office due to his extensive expertise in Hyperparathyroidism. I was diagnosed with Hyperparathyroidism in 2013 however, due to the my overwhelming work schedule and family life, I procrastinated on following up with care. In 2016 I relocated to Atlanta and about two months after I started experiencing symptoms due to my ailment. By 2018, I started becoming nauseous on a daily basis.
