I'm not sure if it's just the ER department or the whole place but I've never had any luck with any of them when I've had to take my kids or when I gave birth there. It takes FOREVER and none of them besides maybe 2 seem to care about the patients or frankly seem to even know what they are doing. The BEST HOSPITAL for kids is children's hospital of Birmingham hands down. And their uab hospital!! The best doctors, nurses, even the ladies that cleaned the room!! They treat their patients like family and i swear I will continue... read more

I do not like the e.r. most the doctors just dont care or think your in there just to get drugs! Well I have them to know I was truly in pain. I wont even take any pain medications unless I absolutely have to at home so for me to come to the emergency room I was in major pain. Thanks for nothing.! Now I would give the nurses on the 2nd floor 4 stars you can tell they genuinely care for the patients. Also the the surgical waiting nurses 4 stars. And the anesthetist also. Ive had many surgeries there. Never a problem. Ive also... read more
