Looks pretty but lots of issues. They kept our entire security deposit, and then charged us for “further damages”, without notifying us. Now we have collections appearing on our credit report because we were not notified, despite asking them about this multiple times with no response from the incompetent management. We were waiting to hear back about our security deposit, and meanwhile they had already sent an invoice to collections that we had never even seen. There are frequent power outages. Absolutely the worst experience ever as a current resident. I’ve called the office at least 3 separate times to complain about my upstairs neighbors with the loud music and it’s still a constant problem. The communication at the office is terrible.
When apartment hunting in the Norristown area, finding a place with reasonable prices that met all my needs was hard. The previous tours that my roommate and I had gone on consisted of people showing us units while standing on their phones and having no answers to our questions. We were thrilled when we found Dekalb Apartments and had our tour with Jeffery. He was very personable, charismatic, and funny.
