The original estimate was $700-$800 to install new heating flue pipe. However when the work was completed the bill was $1,152.27 For this job I needed galvanized flue pipes. As an example, for the five foot pipe that was needed they charged me $75, however, when you go to a reliable retailer, the cost of this pipe is $29.95. If you do the math on this charge, it will show you that they have a 150% mark up.
