Derfoot Estate cooperative housing board's blatant corruption. Last month, they shockingly destroyed files of people on the waiting list, only to invite new applications and give priority to their own relatives. It's clear that they had pre-selected and placed their relatives' files in a specific order. The email sent to existing waiting list applicants was just a ruse. I'm extremely disappointed with the board of Derfoot Estate COOP housing. It appears that the community is not following the guidelines set by SACHA and the City of Calgary. Instead, they seem to prioritize their own interests. There's a concerning lack of diversity in the community, with a majority of residents hailing from the same area. Furthermore, it seems that many residents are misusing the subsidized housing system by underreporting their income. Disappointing experience with this Derfoot Estate coop housing. Despite being on the waiting list for over 7 years, I was removed and replaced with seemingly connected individuals and relatives. Lack of transparency and fairness in the board's decision-making process. The term 'cooperative' seems ironic given their uncooperative behavior. Would not recommend.
