As an employee of Deer Lake Girls Home for many years, I can't imagine a more caring and safe environment for this population. Staff are always 2 or 3 deep and follow other strict protocols. Each girl is given a full range of opportunities and support.
Update jan 2021: our child is still at Deer Lake and we are still pleased and thankful for the living experience they provide her. While any situation involving multiple people simply can't be "perfect" we have seen the desire and action steps taken for continued growth and improvement here.
