I can't say enough good things about Deer Lake Resort and its staff! The staff is as gracious and competent as that of any 5 star hotel and the cabins are amenitized like homes rather than lake cabins. Large and spacious, the cabins are clean and thoughtfully laid out with fully stocked kitchens and baths and extras like wi-fi and toys for your tots to play with. Great getaway for families. Our 4th spring break there and we can finally navigate the trails without getting lost. Even the grandkids know their way around now... lol.. great hospitable service with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
My family and I have been lucky enough to be around since the conception of Deer Lake Cabin Ranch Resort. The owners, managers & equestrian staff are all very hands on and responsive to any concerns or feed back to the ranch and it’s many animals. I personally have owned horses for 50 years and love them dearly. Only the best will do for them! I have chosen to retire several of my personal horses at the ranch. This was our 3rd annual Christmas at Deer Lake! With the escape room, hiking and ATV trails, fishing, plus family activities at night, we just weren’t ready to leave! We call this our “happy place” and look forward to returning again next year.
Stop using crippled horses. One old trainer with no veterinary degree who blinded one colt tells the manager that mister is okay when one of the best vets in east Texas diagnosis him with a serious spinal disease and they keep on using him. Thats inhumane and the reason as a state certified trainer and instructor for law enforcement I resigned as a guide when I stepped in to help them when their normal guide was out. Shameless simply shamless! Great property but out of touch with humane care!
Stayed in Rambling Rose for Thanksgiving with the family. We had an awesome time. Fishing, paddle boating, and biking. We have already booked our cabin for next year!
Being out in nature no crowds .
