Dr. Katyal diagnosed and repaired my Spignalian hernia that three other physicians failed to diagnose. Failure to repair this type hernia can lead to strangulation. Strangulation can result in death. I trust Dr. Katyal’s medical skills with my life. I’m a native Huntsvillian. Dr. Katyal is one of only a handful of surgeons in town I would allow to operate on my abdomen.
Dr. Katyal made me feel comfortable getting the surgery I needed. Surgery, recovery, office visits and after care at home went extremely well. Dr. Katyal is an excellent doctor and surgeon; very experienced, knowledgeable and caring. Office staff and nurse practitioner , Tara, are awesome. I would highly recommend Dr. Katyal to anyone.
No continuity of care! In March of 2021 I had my gallbladder removed within 48 hrs I was bk in the er with a blocked common bile duct. I called & made my own follow up appt where the doctor chose to argue with my husband over attending to his patient (my husband is also to blame there). I left the office in tears & still in pain. I was scheduled for a CT (I think just to prove my husband wrong). I was found to have an abcess in the gallbladder pocket. Then I was scheduled for a drain tube to be inserted surgically. My visits at Dr. Katyal's office has been a great experience eveytime. Everyone I've encountered has always been kind and caring.Doctor Kaytal has always taken very good care of me with all of my surgeries. He's an outstanding surgeon.
