I'm so grateful to Matt Nichols. He finished our kitchen and two-bathroom renovation after another contractor abandoned the job, which is nobody's favorite thing to do. His crew has mad skills. The carpentry work they did constructing ceilings to complement our house's 1890 details were complex and beautiful. They specialize in high-end jobs with this level of detail and workmanship. And the team is lovely to be around.

I called to inquire about no parking signs that were improperly posted in front one of this firm’s projects on our block. The person I spoke with was incredibly rude. A follow-up call with the city revealed that not only were the signs misplaced the permit itself had expired a month prior, suggesting the firm had printed counterfeit signs with fake dates. Prospective customers should be aware of these unethical business practices.

Deep Elm remodeled our little bathroom last winter. Matt was very good at communication and his crew was very good. Since I had done construction coordination in my own career, I was able to help Matt manage the subs, and ended up with a schedule that was tight and relatively short. Good job!

Update: Matt fixed the problem and apologized for his mistake. I like a business that owns the mistake and tried to make things right. —————————————————————————— Absolutely Do Not Recommend – Dishonest and Untrustworthy I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others. Avoid. They charged us $300+ in labor for a 20 min electrical job. No other contractor we've worked with has gouged us like that. Glad we found out before using them for a larger project.
