Disgusting I resigned my lease with them last year with the promise that they were going to address the bugs in my apartment. They didn't. Always a promise of next week or soon or we're trying to hire a maintenance man. Ultimately their staffing issues are not my problem. They will take your security deposit. Their lease contract is set up to make sure you pay for a paint job (12hours@ $35/hour = $420 + $120 paint is their claim with me, small claims trial pending), and a carpet cleaning (also @$35/hour) no matter how undamaged you leave the apartment. Be prepared to pay, or defend in court. You must ask for proof of "actual cost of repairs". That is copies of actual receipts for paint, and copies of pay stubs to maintenance worker. Actual cost does not include overhead cost.
okay I lived in a Deckard property last year. There are some positives and some negatives. On the plus side...you can have pets including multiple pets and large dogs. Very hard to find. On the negative side...I had big problems with pests, including a very large dead rat. sure they came and got rid of it, but obviously the upkeep is not top priority. Lots of stuff was broken and run down when I moved in but they tried to charge for that same stuff until i got assertive with them. Only live there if you have a big dog or cat... read more
