Mr. DeChant appraised a unit in Ocean City for an estate that I am representing. His appraisal came in much lower than expected. Our realtor and another appraiser felt his number was about $50,000 less than it should be. When I asked him to consider researching more and finding more suitable comparables, he responded with a very nasty and rude email. Very unprofessional.

I own several properties in Rehoboth Beach, DE. And planning on purchasing more, I will NOT use Michael Dechant Sr Appraisals again in the future nor will I recommend him to anyone. He's not capable of doing two appraisals in one day with out mixing them up...End result costing me money.... Mortgage Brokers and Realtors Don't use them...……...
