The only problem we had was the Jets overhead every 15 minutes everyday flying overhead from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. at night. It was overbearing and I would not bring my grandchildren there it would scare them to death. Otherwise everything was nice.
Funny to me that people say "too much air traffic!" This spot is in an AMAZING location that just so happens to be next to a NAVAL BASE! of COURSE you are going to have fly overs... that is part of the mystique! Beautiful park, clean facilities...and amazing fishing, great people there who are friendly. If this is too "high air-traffic" for you.. I might suggest travelling about 95 miles north on I-5.. there are some great campgrounds in Canada with far fewer flyovers and much less Naval presence. Leave this place for the lo... read more
The view is just awesome. Plan to see the sunset and it would be worth.
It is a great place but remember to bring ear plugs in case the navy decides to have practice flights for their jets for hours on end. And at any time - day or night. Did I mention the jets fly directly above the park.
