This statement is in regards to not receiving proper post-op care after May 13th, 2025 Lumbar surgery referred out to VA community care. On May 15th, while I recovering in the hospital, two days post-surgery, I had a video conference with my new primary care physician assistant, Lisa Melton. She told me she was taking one of my pain medicines away and would not order anything until I was discharged from the hospital. I Love Ms. Milton
Cannot get primary care appointment when I call. Patient advocate, Veronica Lopez works from home often and is impossible to get a hold of. You cannot call her. You have to wait for her call back, which is horrible if you have bad cell phone service. I had to walk in one day and she was lovely. I got a dental appointment for right side deep cleaning and dental work on lower right quadrant through choice program with her help.
