We were told that DMH, under new management was better than it used to be. And that St Mary's hospital was the worst in the state. My husband went in because of rectal bleeding, which had stopped but needed to looked at. He was in the hospital for about 15+ hours before he was given any of his regular meds. They withheld even his diabetic meds, and pain meds. He was still pretty sick, as blood test revealed he had lost about half his blood volume !!!!They did a colonoscopy on Sunday. I am only giving this a 3 star only because of the ED Doctor Charles. Firstly, let me say the Nurses in the ED are NASTY, why, because they do not like to wash their hands and the hospital needs to put a stopping to this! How can you enter a patient's room and don't wash your hands esp a pediatric patient. They don't swab there IV ports before use. Don't wash hands in between procedures. I saw 4 RN, 1 Doctor and 2 PCT. And the Doctor was the only one that practiced proper infection control. So very sad I Hope this will chang... read more
I told them I was poisoned they saw I had bi polar and has dismissed it so if something happens this is my only way of being heard I love life I fought hard to get it back today is June 29 was in er 4x to only get dismissed I feel like he'll Thanks for reading my review
Disappointing hospital to say the least. By the time you wait several hours just to be seen, they are dismissive. Would be better off driving to Springfield or Champaign, it would take less time to be seen, and the doctors might actually treat you better.
Pray you don't get an illness after working a bit. They let you go and say "you are not catching on"!? This is a hospital right? Let me go in my time of need? Not even offer a position to me that my temporary illness would work out better with? I know how to clean and scrub a toilet!! But no, they said sorry the new desk in the office did not work? Now get out !
