My mom, my sister, two of my friends and I all absolutely loved the store. Great selection of stuff you cant find other places. Will go back for years to come. Never thought anyone was rude.
Wow! And I don't mean that in a good way. It's hard to believe this place is still in business. The employees here are extremely rude and unprofessional. Don't waste your time or money!
I visited here on Saturday with my girlfriend and we had a great time exploring and admiring the jewelry, clothes, handbags, and shoes. We had a fantastic experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, the cat was entertaining and the collection of stock was nothing short of amazing. I will definitely be back.
Everyone needs to CALM DOWN about the owner. I'm 16 years old and my friend (who's 17) and I have gone into Decades thousands of times and NEVER have we been treated with suspicion or condescension nor have I EVER seen him treat any other customers that way (I understand there are two men that work there, so there may be some confusion as to which one's the owner, but I say the same about both of them). EVERY time I go in this store the owner (I presume) looks at me like I am about to do something wrong. He follows me throughout the store, eyes me, and even looks at me when I leave. I haven't even ended up buying anything there because I feel so uncomfortable that I cannot even look through the clothes. I'm not and I do not look like some hoodlum criminal, I am half black, and I think he is a racist. Like he thinks I am going to steal something. It's so rude. OK...Everyone who says they were treated poorly really need to consider what kind of an establishment you are entering. This is a thrift shop with clothes that can be over 70 years old with sequence and irreplaceable embellishment. You have people coming in touching delicate clothing that can tear from even the slightest touch if you aren't careful. How would you feel if you owned/worked in a store like that? the cat in the window sold me on going inside – I was extreamly nervous to go to decades because i heard of the horrible mean old owner and how he hates teenagers (compleatly understandable. my generation sucks). for my 17th bday my mom and i went. i am a little vintage addict and was wearing some slightly vintage clothes so i think thats why he didnt want to destroy me with his mind. but he was giving my mom dirty looks! it might be because she didnt see the sign that said leave your bag with him and i had to point it out. ... read more
Great selection – I LOVE this store! I found Decades while I was in SLC on business. I wanted to get out of my hotel and see the city, but there is not much to do on a Sunday here. Decades is one of the few places open, and I am so glad I happened across it. I'm not all that interested in vintage clothing, but I love vintage jewelry. Decades has an amazing selection of both.
