This poor doctor had to put up with me, a Sicilian Occupational Therapist who had specialised in sensory integration and was no dummy!! So you can only imagine the challenge I was as a parent for my only son with Asperger’s, Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD!!! He certainly was a challenge and a handful for mom, dad, doc, school, relatives, and the whole wide world within his small little circle. Dr. Koutnik is amazing!! Since i started to question.. ask, call.. I've been waiting for the feeling that it's/i'm making a difference for him. My son and I have only met with Dr. Koutnik twice. I'm humbled and grateful! For the first time in years I feel like my son and I will soon get some awnsers. She really cares. She knows kids, she knows exactly what she is doing, and what she's talking about. The staff in her office was kind, welcoming, and everyone smiles :)
Dr koutnic and her expertise has literally improved the lives of my entire family. She directed me to all the appropriate places to both emotionally deal with the reality of my son's autism, as well as getting him in all the right therapies. She is an amazing person and physician.
My son has been seeing Dr. Koutnik for the past 10 years. He has autism and numerous other diagnoses. She has been compassionate, caring, and professional with my son. He will be turning 21 soon and I know he will miss her. As a parent, I am completely satisfied with her interactions and recommendations. If you have a child with special needs, I cannot think of another doctor in the Medford, Phoenix, Talent and Ashland area that could provide the level of care that Dr. Koutnik provides!!
