I was an emergency patient with a finger amputation who was sent to Dr. Biswas by the Emergency Room. During the office visit and the surgery, Dr. Biswas listened to my needs, and my want for anesthesia (Typically only done with local anesthetic). While I wish I didn't meet him under the circumstances, he made a traumatic experience as comfortable as one could expect.
He was in the room for 3 minutes. He diagnosed me with carpal tunnel My main concern is my hand doesn’t open fully. He said I needed to have surgery to correct the carpal tunnel. When I asked if it would open my hand, he said it might. He’s a surgery pusher. I didn’t even have an EMG, and he wanted to do surgery. I said I’d think about it- not doing it. Then I get a call yesterday to schedule surgery. Not impressed with this Dr by any means.
Dr Biswas is personable and caring, taking time to explain what the issue is and what alternatives for relief are available. Nursing staff is great, too.
Preformed finger surgery that no other surgeon offered to do, which took away the constant pain. Dr Biswas is very kind, confident and caring.
