Dr. Ouano was very professional and experienced. He explained and performed the laser iridotomy quickly and professionally. I am greatful for his help and knowledge of glaucoma.

This doctor is awful. He told my mom she had cataract in both eyes and he would start with the worst eye. After the surgery, she was seeing better than ever in that eye. When we asked when the surgery for the other eye would be, he said she didn’t need it and was just going to give her glasses. I told him her other eye was blurry and she still had trouble seeing, especially where one stair stopped and one started. I recently saw Dr. Ouano at his New Bern Office. The office was clean and the staff was very friendly. The wait time was not too bad considering they were very busy on a Monday afternoon. His assistant was very friendly and upbeat. Dr. Ouano spent a gracious amount of time studying my history and was very thorough with my exam. I felt comfortable with him. Would be nice if he would actually listen to you and not talk over you. Good surgeon, personality is abrupt. Office staff very nice and helpful.
