I grew up there as a kid... Have'nt been n years' 42 yrs old now'
A problem for some horse owners is the distance from camp site to a stable. My horse does not like being tied all night and I would not leave him out in a thunderstorm anyway. If we cannot see the front of the stable from our site we will not camp there. Unfortunately there are only a couple of sites at Deam Lake where this is possible.
If you haven't visited the nature center, you have to check it out! Great place for a summer science lesson for the kids before you hit the beach or trails. The new conservationist is doing a wonderful job updating the exhibits and providing activities and information. Be sure to sign the guest list to show your support!
I am always amazed that this place isn't over run by people from Louisville. Very nice park.
