OMG!!! We visited this place his past weekend!! All I can say is this place was awesome!! We will definitely be going back!! We went down the Dragons Tail and it was so great!! Then when we were going back up it, around mile marker 2.5 our bike died!!! Just quit!! After about an hour and a half we were able to get some one to stop!! They didn't have jumper cables, but they said that when they got to the store they would send someone back to help!! And boy did they!! I just got back from a ride through the eastern southern states and both the Back and the Tail of the Dragon. The "Tail" was much more challenging. Recommend riding both but this one you gotta ride it. Open eyes and controlled, fully wake up before you ride it or it will bite you. Someone wacked a rock wall behind me and both him and his bike were in bad shape. That said worth the trip down.
I really love the place, but the people that was running the store wouldn't let me get any gas because they where getting ready to close, told them i was almost out of gas and they said to try the next town over Robbinsville, made it maybe 8 miles down an run out of gas, no phone service an dark. Other than that the people you meet there are some great people, but the people over the store needs to be more friendly to a biker in need of a lil help. The rooms are so clean and have all the basics you need! No wifi or cell service but what a good way to make new friends! Nice and inexpensive!
