Amazing staff and awesome atmosphere. Without a doubt my favorite bar in IC.
My favorite place in Iowa City to come and listen to my favorite bartenders make lewd jokes and horrible puns. 10/10 would get wasted here again
I lived in Iowa City from 97 to 2003 had many a good time at the Deadwood with friends or family. Every time I'm back in town I'll make sure to stop here for a mega Mary. Great crowd, chill environment, definitely recommend to visit if you're in Iowa City.

I just read in the Press Citizen how this bar is one of the top college bars in the country, and I couldn't agree more. From the cheesy holiday decor, to the amazing bloody Marys, to the cheerful servers and staff- this bar is hands down the best bar in the area. Not to mention, they are DOG FRIENDLY which makes it the greatest. We come here a few times a month with our Hungarian Puli and we love the environment (and so does our dog). I would give this place 10 stars if it were possible.

No frills here. It's dark, it's roomy, and they have pinball. It was my favorite bar of the several we went to in Iowa City. It's a great place for those of us with simple tastes.
