I was a long time customer of Whiting Oil. When Dead River took over, everything went downhill. I have had only poor experiences so far. This year, I made sure to call months ahead of time to schedule my furnace service. When I scheduled the service date the day was completely open and I was the first appointment to be scheduled for that day. They called the week before the appointment to try to cancel it. Had 100 gallon delivery scheduled. Apparently my oil tank didn’t pass their “inspection”. They said they left a message but I never received it. I asked for them to have their service department call me back so I could have the fuel I already paid for delivered. Never called. Now I’m left with an emergency. Cold snap and pipes could possibly freeze. Consistently rescheduled service appointments every time i used them and recently blamed me for not understanding their manpower shortages. Last straw was when they sent technician without proper equipment after rescheduling twice. Worst service experiences ever. Oil delivery experiences have been satisfactory but required 1-2 week advance notice. Together, these facts make this company unacceptable for a longtime customer
