Came in via ambulance yesterday, everyone was great , had to come back today because of extreme pain .. per the ER doctor to which I did -- everyone here has been great except the front desk Olivia -- was extremely rude, dry ... just flat out mean.
Unprofessional and rude staff at the front desk. Usually I'm treated like a normal human but they talk to you like your stupid and have no respect at all!
As usual, not surprisingly, mental health care wards fail miserably, make you worse, give you false hope, passive aggressive platitudes of using will power, neglect the importance of getting background information from your outside team/advocates that is of utmost importance for you to give you a break as it is hard to communicate, or be expected to even be able to express yourself at all in that moment, dangerously mismanaging specific nutrition needs and even required meds consistently, and the disdain and threats. last year while my mother was in hospital I had been kicked out, they let minors stay unsupervised the whole week or so. I lost my visiting time with my mom she died on March 17
My friend went to the emergency room by ambulance confused and in a lot of pain, unable to walk. They ran tests. She was there for 8 hours before they hooked her up to fluids ... because we asked. They forgot. When the bag was empty they never replaced it. I could go on and on. When my husband had hip replacement last year they totally ignored or didn't look at his chart... He's type 2 diabetic and they fed him from the original menu until his A1C was so high they has to call his doctor and treat him aggressively for that.
