2 weeks and my referral is still “being worked” but the other two referrals I received for different things were able to be scheduled almost immediately. Also, they never called me? I had to call them to ask about the referral.
Phoned office to follow up on referral for my husband from early May. We had not heard from the ENT office. I phoned the office today, was greeted abruptly, and put on hold. She returned to the line with an appointment scheduled in October. I responded asking why my husband had to wait that long. She replied that the information would be on his my chart and click-hung. Not the typical Deaconess interaction.
Take three months or more just get a damn referral reviewed..
I hear the physicians are very good. I cannot say from experience. My PCP put in a referral request in August 2024. It's now late December and I have never received a call. I tried to make an appointment and was told I couldn't. They would call me when they got to me on the list. The scheduling department needs to be overhauled if they cannot even call to set an appointment after 4 months. I have found another provider.
