They offer generous warranties and are just ultimately very transparent and informative along the way of what to expect and what to look forward to! Excellent family company who really cares about their community and builds homes with locals in mind and with their feedback taken into account. Would highly recommend working with them!
We bought our De Young home back in 2013 and are extremely grateful for the experience that they have provided. Not only has our home purchase experience been outstanding, but the customer support afterwards has been tremendous as well. They have always been prompt in responding, even as far as getting a call back from the president of the company to make sure an issue was resolved. I would also like to thank Stephanie, as she has gone above and beyond in providing exceptional customer support in every aspect.
We have had the best experience working with everyone from DeYoung from beginning to end; and they’ve continued to support and communicate after as well. We love our DeYoung home!
Bought a brand-new home in 2023. The sales team was great—until I took ownership. After that, everything went downhill. The warranty department is nearly impossible to reach. My solar was wired incorrectly and they blamed me—it took five months to fix. My washer outlet kept tripping breakers, the hot water heater was installed wrong so we barely had hot water, and my heater went out around month 23. I was told it wasn’t under warranty and had to wait seven days with no heat in the middle of winter. Overall, very poorly built... read more
Purchased a brand new DeYoung home in 2017. It has been a nightmare. I have had to deal with the following: Multiple roof leaks including one that was reported March of 2024 that still hasn’t been fixed. A cracked pex water pipe in the attic above our master bathroom. A drainage pipe from our courtyard that was unfinished and stopped about 3 feet underground in the middle of our grass. Termites coming up from our kitchen island. Drywall cracks through the entire home. Cracked stucco on the exterior.
