Love DePieros Farm I love DePieros farm. It has the best bakery dept. The produce, meat, fish and greenhouse are great. I feel very fortunate we have them in our town. I never want to see it leave.

Rude, Money Hungry Criminals I recently had my first (and last) experience at De Peiro's Farm. While I was picking pumpkins with my kids in their pumpkin patch, I witnessed the owner come down and yell at a group of young adults for coming down to the pumpkin patch without paying the overpriced $10 fee to do so. As I listened to the conversation unfold, it became apparent that the individuals had walked down without knowing that you have to pay to take a hayride to the patch. These individuals were very apologetic and prepar... read more

Rude Staff I live in the area would go to De Pieros at least 4 times a week to purchase my meats and fresh produce. Unfortunately, after my recent experience, I WILL NEVER go again. I teach in an urban school district. I went to ask for either a donation or a discount for a pumpkin for my class to carve. The very young, unfriendly cashiers had some old lady come "help me." She never introduced herself, told me $15 was the price of the pumpkin, and turned her back on me mid-conversation. I was left standing by the register fe... read more

Farm fresh produce If you like to go to farmer's markets to get your produce, this is a great year-round shop. An actual farm, it also imports produce from other local farms and sells it at a good price. Everythign just looks and tastes fresher than the supermarket, plus you can get items like fresh baked pies and cookies. We love to stop in here and just wander aruond - everythign smells so good.

Good Bakery De Piero's Farm is a great place to spend an afternoon. Go pumpkin picking in the fall and then come into the store to enjoy some donuts and cider. What a treat! Their bakery is very good, ranging from various breads to pies. Apple pies go quickly here so you might want to place your order before the holidays. Staff is warm and friendly. Parking is excellent

farm stand plus DePiero's is owned by own of the old time farm families in Bergen County. They have long since abandoned the old farm stand in favor of a super market style store. They have tons of fresh produce, much of it home grown in t he summer, a wonderful bakery and a small gift shop. They are usually pretty busy at the height of the season.

response to last poster This is in response to the last poster. I agree that someone who wipes their nose and then handles the food is unsanitary. With the swine flu situation, I would have been unhappy with that as well. My problem is that you wonder if the workers are legal? Why? Because they are Hispanic? That is racist.

Consumer at De Piero's for many years I am very sorry to say, what I've witnessed at De Piero's this weekend was heart breaking. In the produce department was a worker, who sneezed, wiped his nose with his hands and then proceeded to put away vegetables WITHOUT gloves. I reported it to a manager, but was so disgusted I left the store. Maybe De piero's needs to re-think who its hiring! I wonder if their workers are even legal?
