TL:DR version: De Hoyos took a $7000 deposit 15 months ago, has done no work, and refuses to return our money. Detailed version: In November of 2019 we hired De Hoyos to do a significant amount of concrete work on our property. We signed a contract with him, paid a $7000 deposit, and as of February 2021 there has been no progress. No permits, no removal of the old, no installation of the new, nothing but excuses. Please do not use this company. Andy is a scammer. I can provide pics and emails also text messages. He promised to fix a crack in my new driveway for over 2 years now. Please be very aware before you hire De Hoyos Concrete. Andy De Hoyos came out, did an estimate and signed a contract with a clause for job to be completed 5 business days after the permit issuance (weather permitted). It was the end of the season and we wanted our concrete patio to be done before the winter. The permit was issued on 10/24/2018 and Andy’s crew started the job around 1:00pm on 10/26/2018. Awesome. We invited De Hoyos Concrete to bid on our new patio. Andy De Hoyo came over immediately. After giving us a price, Mr. De Hoyo suggested some other improvements such as a stamped sidewalk and a new portion for our deteriorating driveway. He also suggested a stamped border for the entire driveway. I agreed after discussing with my wife to the improvements. Mr. De Hoyo said they would start work the next day.
