I had a broken eye tooth extracted yesterday. It was painless. Dr DeGould is very competent. My bleeding persisted because I have a blood problem. I called his cell number at 8PM and he explained how to stop the bleeding and it worked. What great service.
I have a terrible fear of dentists. I was so not looking forward to having this procedure done..as soon as I met Dr. Degould...I felt completely at ease. His sense of humor and way of making you feel comfortable is something I have never experienced at any dental office. Staff was also very friendly. I would highly recommend him to anyone!! The staff was very polite and had calmed me before my procedure, Dr. DeGould had been very patient and considerate toward my questions before going down to remove my wisdom teeth. I had no complications at all everything went down well, after the procedure he made sure I had the right amount of pain medication to last me the next couple weeks, I'm so glad I found this wonderful doctor.
With insurance (blue cross/blue shield) our portion was $900. The estimate was $730 and the payment had to be paid by us in full before the procedure. This was very inconvenient making us have to use our credit card. Not appreciated at all.
I had a few complications (none of which were his fault) and he was very helpful with everything, he made sure everything was taken care of and I was doing great.
I had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out a week ago today. It was done quickly and he made sure I had everything I needed to recover. Degould and his staff were all very nice and friendly. I was in very little pain after the surgery. I'm also surprised that a lot of people I talk to didn't know there is an oral surgeon in Freeport because he did such a good job. I would reccomend Dr.Degould to anyone
Some of the comments on here are ridiculous, pulling teeth are going to hurt, and the needles inserted into your mouth for numbing are obviously going to hurt. I had four wisdom teeth removed about a week ago...I am feeling perfectly fine...still a little pain when I eat, but that is to be expected with what I had done...during the surgery I opted to NOT have laughing gas because it made me too nervous, and I personally don't like the feeling it gives me. Doctor DeGould did my oral surgery on June 26, 2013; he extracted the three wisdom teeth that I had, and honestly it was so much better than all of the horror stories that I've heard about that type of operation. His staff are all funny and not constantly serious about everything, and he is honestly just an overall nice guy. My son was referred to Dr DeGould to have 2 teeth pulled . He is 6 years of age. My son experienced great pain . I was not there my husband took him . He felt that the dr was gruff with our son . Our son has a high pain tolerance and was in a great deal of pain . He felt that he was not given enough if any laughing gas . In his case should be called pain gas .
