As I see from the reviews, a lot of people like their chocolate, but unfortunately it wasn't for me. I like visiting local shops, so I figured I'd give it a try. I don't eat chocolate that often, but when I do, I want it to be something special. I don't like Lindt, but love Jacques Torres NYC. It's all a matter of taste with chocolates. I got a pound and tried probably 12-15 flavors and the ones I really enjoyed were lemon meringue dark/milk and chocolate cherries dark/milk. A charming store. We got a twelve piece gift box of truffles (chosen from the case) for $15 which seems more than fair to me.
I kept driving by. ...... Having lived in Europe over 25 years, and knowing GREAT chocolates... I kept just driving by. Til last week, I went in. A man in there had been to most places I had been including Burges Belgium with one chocolate shop next to another... I bought my beloved Marzipan, and some European Jellys candy, and OMG... I thought I was back in the Muttiland!!!!!! INCREDIBLE!!! FRESH... WONDERFUL... TIL I go back home (Europe, X Pat).. I will be shopping here!!!!
Excellent gourmet chocolates at a reasonable price. Try the red wine truffles!
