The owner likes to over work his employees. Customer questions or complaints are sometimes address and other times you will be given the run around. He is not willing to compensate based upon experience or skills. Due to him not have funds available to pay workers, they have to wait until 5 pm on Friday to get paid. He wants you to cash your check at a particular place and you are charged a fee. Employees get paid this late because deposits do not clear until Monday morning. I had a move. They quoted arrival time was from 2-4, they arrived around 4:30pm. I was told that even though they arrived outside of their quoted window, unless it was an hour they wouldn’t be considered late. Also, to add insult to injury, items were damaged during the move and some stuff is just plain missing. Never use them.

These guys are 100% professionals and a pleasure to work with. First, I got an accurate quote and easy booking over the phone. Then, they moved my apartment more quickly than I would have guessed. Wrapped each piece of furniture and appliances with pads and/ or shrink wrap. One of the more experienced guys coached up the younger guys. We had DC Movers move our home this Oct. and it was pleasant experience through out. The guys were on time and very efficient. They wrapped our furniture with padding and shrink. We got the "economy package" which is basically moving services with free packing supplies. So they delivered a few boxes 12 or 15 when we scheduled then came out the day of the move with mattress covers and wardrobe boxes. This is why I choose them. One less thing I needed to do. I will use them for our next move. Good group of guys.

You don't get a second chance to make a first impression. DC Movers was referred by a few friends. Reached out to help my parents, senior citizens, secure movers (25 minute drive between residences) and we booked them based on their rate in comparison to others. In short, our experience yesterday was a DISASTER! Movers arrived nearly 90 minutes late (contracted to arrive 9am to 11am). I operate a sevice business in Charlotte, NC, Foxhole Services. On FB, too. Moving makes up a small fraction of our business. So, we'll partner with a biz on some jobs when more bodies are needed. My DC Movers experience is one of pure exhaustion. During the confirmation call with the manager, Daevlyn, I stressed how much stuff I had to load and move. He encouraged me to go with 3 movers instead of the original 2 that were quoted to me over the phone and the $800 3hr/flat rate with $125/hr after for 3 guys ($105 if 2 guys). I trusted his judgment, which was a mistake, because later he said that if he had seen my home, he probably would have made the job a $1500 min and provided 2 trucks for my move. Never hire D.C. movers. They are very unsavory characters. You CANNOT trust them with your move. My move was scheduled to happen between the hours of 2 and 4pm. At 4pm the texted me (apparently customers aren't worth phone calls) saying they would be there after 4pm. At 7pm I received a call after having to call them 3 times. Also after canceling their move THE OWNER would no longer take my call. This is the worst customer service experience I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Do not hire them. They are very unprofessional.
