I wish it was more professional and didn’t violate our tenant rights. I want to be thankful. We need outgoing Mail. We need access to our storage units. We need laundry that works. We need the heat to work correctly and consistently. We need more time to prepare for inspections than a note on the door one day before. They don’t have the right to go in our closets, or tell us how much food we can have in our refrigerators. We just need professionalism and respect. They get too much rent for the level of service provided.

I experienced unprofessional, poor and lazy communication from whomever manages some of their Portland, ME listings. It was like I was trying to sell THEM the apartment the way I had to pry for basic information.

This review is regarding DC Management and their building Rumery Lofts. Soon after I moved in, a pipe burst on the second floor. That disaster kicked off more than six weeks of construction happening nearly every day from early morning to evening. It’s still not completely resolved. Shortly after, I was without heat for eight days. I tried to reach management several times and got nowhere. The building itself is poorly finished. I inquired about new units in my area today and I reached out directly to management as that’s what their website instructed to do. I asked for information regarding specific units and the application process - they responded by saying units aren’t available and won’t be if current residents renew leases and ignored my asking about a waitlist.
