We have used **** and dc home inspections on 2 different properties. We have also recommended their service to friends and are very pleased. **** was very thorough and helpful. He gives you the necessary information to make a confident home purchase.
This inspector missed many items. We have spent thousands of dollars in repairs all in which the contractor said, "Didn't you have a home inspection & the home inspector pick up on this issue?" Yes we did have a home inspection, he just was not reliable. Would not recommend.
DC Home Inspection Services is the absolute worst home inspection service in NE Ohio and maybe the entire state. The owner, Chuck Kester, and his son Mike Kester hold themselves out as ASHI certified home inspectors with all of these specific certifications and after a home inspection where they gave our home a clean bill of health, and now over $20,000 in repairs later we come to find out that they didn't have ANY of these certifications. Poor Inspection... We used DC Home Inspection in order to inspect a house we were buying. Although there turn around was very quickly, we did not like their inspection. They used a check list and the inspector did not seem very knowledgably. Essentially, he did not check things that a lay person, such as my self, would not be able to check. He also was not though. For example he did not check the fire detectors but instead but on the report “unchecked.” I do not recommend them for home inspections.
