I love this place! I have worked in food for over 20 years and this place has quality and comfort. The desserts are "off the hook" and so is the salad bar. The one of two places I'll eat a burger.
The salad bar is great and the cookies are amazing. The only downfall is the employees/owner allow people to exit the building using the emergency exit door. My young niece and my family have cold wind blowing directly on them from this. Why don't they use the correct door and why is this not enforced? Salad bar & a cold!

DC Cake Appeal is the best! Best salad bar, best service, and best clean atmosphere! Love the people! LOVE the food! David Conway is the best! If you want a delicious sandwich or an abundant salad bar, or maybe have a sweet tooth, stop no where else! DC Cake Appeal is the place!
Went in placed my order for a mushroom burger, they said it would take 15 minutes, 20 minutes rolled around I went to check on my food they said the cook never received my ticket to make my food and it would be another 15 minute wait. No thank you I will not be back, and neither will any of my group that came in.
The salad bar is always fresh and fully stocked with amazing things. The soups are hot and super yummy, if you get a chance I suggest the tomato basil soup it is perfect. This is a great spot for vegetarians to eat and the staff is always friendly. They also have a huge smile and very helpful.
