I have been attending this clinic for nearly 7 years now and have had nothing but the most positive experience. My therapist decided to sever the therapeutic relationship because I wasn’t able to afford 2 individual and 1 group session a week. She thought that three session a week would be most important for my recovery, despite my protests that I was unable to afford it, because I was without insurance. She stated that she was concerned for my wellbeing and decided that no therapy would be better than one session each week. I do not understand how anyone could rate DBT Hamilton less than a 5. If there were anything higher I would give it. I have had almost 8 years of previous therapy modalities and therapists, and even an in-patient stay at another clinic, but none as kind, understanding, and knowledgeable as the clinicians at DBT Hamilton. I have worked with five different workers both in group and individual therapies and every single one went out of their way to help me gain trust and confidence.
