My therapist decided to sever the therapeutic relationship because I wasn’t able to afford 2 individual and 1 group session a week. She thought that three session a week would be most important for my recovery, despite my protests that I was unable to afford it, because I was without insurance. I do not understand how anyone could rate DBT Hamilton less than a 5. If there were anything higher I would give it. I have had almost 8 years of previous therapy modalities and therapists, and even an in-patient stay at another clinic, but none as kind, understanding, and knowledgeable as the clinicians at DBT Hamilton. I have worked with five different workers both in group and individual therapies and every single one went out of their way to help me gain trust and confidence. Dr Burckell went out of her way, and on her own time to briefly meet with my son, find out about his background and recommend the best services for him at this time. I’m very impressed and grateful.
