Please replace those worn and dirty carpets. This is a very practical and well-located hotel, but it's seen better days. There's a clear lack of maintenance, worn-out furniture, and a certain lack of hygiene. It needs a thorough cleaning. And our room smelled so bad that we had to buy an air freshener and keep the window open all the time. I don't know where that smell was coming from. I see some horrible reviews so I wanted to make sure to share my experience. Yes, there are homeless people and open drug use in the area. They don’t bother you, and you need to be street wise by not looking for trouble, or being out aline at night. Easy enough. Fantastic location for being near to everything downtown or the market. Parking is fantastic, safe, and very reasonable. I travelled with my dog and I felt very safe taking him into the fenced parking area at night for his bedtime pee.
