I live in the big apartment building around the corner of this hotel. I travel for work and after being gone for 8 months, I returned to my apartment to find I had no power and my whole fridge had a rotting stinking smell. My power bills were paid in advance, no issues with my account yet the power company could not immediately help me or tell me why this happened so I checked in this hotel at 10 pm after flying all day since 4am. I checked into the Days Inn Hotel in Ottawa when my apartment was being chemically treated for a few hours. Stayed overnight with my dog Harriet and we had a good time. Friendly staff and reasonable prices, given the Canadian economy and location. Hotels that welcome dogs are rare and I appreciate those who do. Good job. Peace.
This hotel has extremely poor management and customer service, and I intend to file a complaint against them. I booked accommodations for the Christmas holiday, only for them to suddenly email us on December 20th stating they had canceled our reservation. This caused us to miss out on booking other cost-effective accommodations, we could have easily secured a hotel at a better price. We are now forced to spend hundreds of extra dollars to hastily choose another hotel.
cancelled our reservation for new year’s eve one week in advance, saying they are undergoing renovations. absolutely no notice and now we are left scrambling to find somewhere else to stay where there will be higher rates. terrible service.
