I was really nervous about staying here after reading the reviews. My husband and I stayed for two nights in June, and drove down to ridgeway state park while we were there. We had a great experience in room 214! I was worried about crappy beds, and run down rooms. But I did not experience that. Of course, it's a 2 star motel, so don't expect luxury, but we felt safe, comfortable, and we didn't have one bad thing to say. It was a desperate stay for us because it was the 4th of July and we needed a place to stay so it was the next best thing then sleeping in the vehicle. But the price was outrageous and the bathtub needed a good scrub.
Couldn’t even make it one night. Before we even check in the police were patrolling through like it’s a regular trouble spot. Room’s latch for door security not even fully anchored into the wall, just the trim which was already loose and has signs of being broken into before. The motel and location reminded me locations often seen in crime dramas. Pictures on Google don’t even match just how dilapidated and sketchy the place is. Whoever is rating this higher than 1 star either knows the owner or a bot.
I would never stay here again and would have left immediately if I could have gotten my money back. This hotel is in the worst condition out of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Lumpy beds, dirty walls, unpainted wall repairs, damaged baseboards, chipped furniture/door frames, water damaged ceiling tiles, stained/cracked sink, tub water spout separated from the wall, dirty/rotting caulking, tub faucet handle articulates in a broken manner and does not properly change the temperature.
